[ Shawn? Still hanging around the apartment for a bit. Really hard to do that New York for under 100 thing. So most of it consisted of sticking around Cory and Topangas place and watching movies about New York. Maybe it was cheating.

So he was here when Riley started going through photobooks. Wondering if she noticed him at the kitchen table. ]

Whatcha got there, kiddo?

[ Riley didn't mind having Uncle Shawn around. It got her thinking about what things must've been like when her parents were young. Which is why she went looking for their old photo album. ]

It's my mom and dad's old picture book. I thought, maybe since you were here for a little while, I'd see if any of the pictures have you in them.

[ He'll wander right on over, then. ] Oh yeah? Find any?

[ And she'll slide over to make room. ]

Yeah, like, half of them.

[ Aaaaand sitting. ]

Any good ones?

[ She stares at the photo, trying to figure out what's the most important part to point out. ]

Look at my mom's shoes.

Those are pretty special shoes. I forgot how long her hair used to be.

And Uncle Eric's. And yours, too.

Hey, girls loved that hair back then.

[ She pats him comfortingly on the back. ] Sure they did, Uncle Shawn.

[ Speaking of hair... ]

It is. See? Everyone had hair like that. Except your dad.

I don't think it's possible for my dad to have hair that looks any way besides the way it looks now.

He tried to straighten it once. [ He expands his hands outward and upsward. ]

[ And Riley's eyebrows go outward and upward. ]

Really? Is there a picture of that?

Not in there, I'm sure. [ But, thankfully, there is the magic of Shawn's iphone and scans of polaroids from the 90s. He'll pull it up right now. ]

[ Riley is silent for... probably longer than is normal. ]

I have concerns.

You're supposed to be my dad's best friend.

I am his best friend. You think he doesn't have any questionably...amazing pictures of me?

If you're his best friend, why'd you let him ...do that to his hair??

He felt bad about it. Anyway, if I hadn't let him do that, he wouldn't have been helping Topanga with some project or anther and your mother wouldn't have kissed him for the first time.

Like when you get a big bucket of popcorn and you both reach inside at the same time and your hands meet?

N...no, like taking candy and winging it at people's heads. I don't know if anyone outside of maybe your dad has ever actually had the popcorn thing happen to them.
